Both! We are now offering Wedding coverage in both Film and Digital for Weddings taking place in 2025 and beyond. A timeless collection of your most beautiful and candid moments captured on 35mm and Medium format film in addition to digital coverage of your celebration from beginning to end. We have been anticipating this shift for a while and we're excited for the iconic heirloom photographs that we will capture on film for our future couples.
No. Blush Wood is built on images that are captured beautifully in camera, culled masterfully and curated with specific attention to detail. Our clients receive images free of watermarks and any distractions that might take away from the beauty of the moment. We take pride in our post production process and do not outsource our digital images for editing of any kind.
Absolutely! We arrive at least one day prior to our first shoot together to prepare for our weekend with you and your loved ones and to iron out any logistical/location details we want to be prepared for. Multi-day destination coverage gives us an opportunity to create an extensive collection of images of you and your loved ones, your location, venue, the details and the celebration/themes around each particular day.
We want to honor your celebration and compliment the formality of your Wedding in the way that we are dressed. We will always arrive to your wedding in attire that allows us to mingle with your guests. We may have a change of shoes on hand for running around prior to your ceremony or during your portrait session, however it is of professional importance to us to carry forth the elegance and sophistication of your event throughout the day as your photography team in the way that we are dressed. We achieve this by our physical presentation and by also creating minimal distractions with gear and equipment while doing our best creative work.
The exclusive benefit of working alongside one another as husband and wife is that we work seamlessly together. Unlike the majority of married teams, both of us are professionally trained photographers and each of us could cover weddings and events completely solo with stunning coverage throughout. Together we form a very powerful and dynamic team. We work together OR with one or two other photographers who we trust to capture exquisite photographs alongside us.
No. We do not work exclusively with certain companies across the wedding industry. We have been fortunate to work alongside the best wedding planners, designers, florist, wedding venues, makeup and hair stylist as well as stationery artists. We enjoy every opportunity to work on new collaborations with your planning team and your other vendors as well as with familiar companies we have worked with in the past to see your wedding vision come to life.
As the locations of our work continue to expand and our clients increasingly inquire from further distances, ZOOM calls have been a valuable part of our communication workflow. Although nothing will ever be quite as great as sitting across from you and your fiance in a coffee shop and listening to your love story, your wedding vision and answering all of your photography questions, a video call or just a chat over the phone is the next best thing! Ultimately, we want to be available to you, to connect with you and to discuss your plans and your dreams for your wedding photography.
Yes! Engagements are an incredible opportunity to craft stunning images together with you in a breathtaking location. We encourage our couples to elevate their images with impeccable style and to plan an engagement location that excites them and serves as an exciting visual prelude of their wedding day and a formal introduction of their engagement. We are available to travel to any engagement destination however travel fees (unlike wedding coverage) are not included. If you are planning a destination engagement, contact us and one of us will meet you there!
Once you have expressed your interest in specific offerings and shared the details of your event(s) with us, a custom quote will be sent to you. Once your specific coverage is selected by you, your tailored bespoke wedding collection will be drafted in a wedding photography contract for your review. All reservations are first come first serve. Once signed, to secure your wedding date, a 30% non-refundable photography retainer is due. The final balance of your coverage is due two weeks before your wedding weekend begins.
