This engagement session in Skaneateles with Sophia and George couldn’t be more stunning! Sophia and George chose the charming town of Skaneateles, NY for their engagement session and as the location of their Wedding weekend. We love photographing engagements and weddings in Skaneateles and it happens to be one of our favorite lakes in the Finger Lake region. We had the best time photographing this beautiful couple and perusing the park, row of shops, restaurants and stately homes along the lake that visitors to Skaneateles love so much. George and Sophia flew in from Las Vegas for their engagements and to meet with their planning team. It was the perfect evening together.

George and Sophia met on “the richest little hill on Earth”, Butte, Montana. George was going to college and Sophia had just moved to Montana to fulfill the dream of always getting out of her hometown, Las Vegas to experience the four seasons. Sophia was so nervous when she first met George at her job back in 2015, her heart was racing like crazy and could barely speak to him! George’s first thought was “what is this beautiful girl doing working at a bar in small town, Montana”. After a few weeks they both finally mustered up the courage to talk to one another. As it turned out they had a lot in common. George and Sophia’s first date was on the ski hill where they shared their love of snowboarding. It wasn’t long before they both had fallen in love. From their home in Las Vegas to Upstate New York for their “destination wedding” in Skaneateles, George and Sophia’s engagement session was a stunning start to a new chapter of their love story and prelude to their iconic wedding celebration. We are excited to be shooting in Skaneateles much more in the months to come!
