HI! I'm Courtney!
In the earliest days of becoming a mother, I could just stare and stare at my little baby's face for hours. My heart bursting with love, I would try to imagine how she would change, how her personality would develop and how more stunningly beautiful she would continue to grow. I wanted to hold on to those sweet moments forever, never wanting her to change, wanting to hold back time but grateful knowing that in some special way... I could.
There is nothing more heart moving than the bond captured between mothers, fathers and their children. Nothing means more to me as a mother and as a professional photographer than preserving the moments and memories with my children that I know one day I will look back on and with eyes filled with tears, be happy I did.
I'm at the beginning of my journey as a Mom. BLOOM is also my journey, my newest adventure and creative exploration... to document families with the same passion and heart as I will continue to do for my own. Let's watch our families BLOOM!

I'm so happy you are here! I am a Cazenovia, New York based portrait photographer. I work alongside my husband Michael primarily as a luxury Wedding photography & film team throughout central New York as well as destinations. You can view our work here at Blush Wood Studios!
As a new Mom, BLOOM was born out of a heart to capture my own growing family and the journey of our former clients into motherhood. I use light, emotion and elements of natural beauty to capture images that are warm, beautiful and that will make you feel joy! The precious moments and milestones with our little ones and our families are so fleeting. We all deserve photos that will forever capture the beauty and essence of our families! In preparing for your session, in selecting outfits, posing and prepping your little ones I will guide you to make it all as easy and idyllic as possible!! In order to achieve my light and airy style, wardrobe plays an important role in the way I will shoot and also edit. Light, neutral colors and soft pastels photograph best with my style. At the end of your experience with Bloom you'll have a gallery full of beautiful moments that you'll cherish forever!

Originally from the south, where we wave and speak to all of our neighbors, strangers too, I've found so much warmth here in my new community and I'm excited to raise my family in Cazenovia! Like the saying goes.. "Bloom where you're planted!" I'm here to stay and I'm passionate about serving families in a place I have come to love.
It's been wonderful fun for me to meet other young families since becoming a mother in 2021. I have been gathering ideas, quietly listening to what moms and grandmothers find beautiful and preparing with patience and excitement to see the seeds of creativity .. BLOOM!!
