Emily & Andrey met in 2015 while they both were exchange students in Erfurt, Germany. Soon after meeting they began dating and when the semester came to its end, they decided to continue their relationship long-distance. Since then they have had numerous adventures together. On New Year’s Eve in 2017 at midnight Emily proposed to Andrey on a riverbank in Heidelberg, Germany. He said, “Yes!”
It’s been a long wait for this beautiful couple, but the day came and it was sweet!
Their small and intimate Wedding at The Providence Hall House was lovely. It felt in so many ways like stepping into a Jane Austen novel!! Their Wedding day was all the things everyone hopes for – romantic, family focused and relaxed! Although the rains showered throughout the entire day, it didn’t stop them from enjoying their horse and carriage, the setting of the house and the beautiful backdrop of the Williamsburg Inn.
Emily wore her mother’s Wedding dress and added a green ribbon! There was a Vodka toast, which is part of Russian Wedding tradition and ginger bread cookies from Russia! Emily & Andrey made their Wedding bands (pretty amazing!!) Their cake and cupcakes, designed by Cakes by Tawanda incorporated her forest theme and a cake topper by Heartmade Cottage. Emily’s handmade bouquet was from Etsy shop, Thread and Heart and her hairpiece by Deliziosa Accessori was simple and gorgeous.
